Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about using LazySaver.
👋 Getting Started
No signup needed. When you first visit LazySaver a unique User ID is automatically assigned to you and stored in your browser. Head to your Profile to set a nickname — that's all you need to start posting deals.
Go to your Profile and copy your User ID using the Copy button. On the new device, visit the Profile page and paste it into the "Log In With User ID" field.
Unfortunately we can't recover lost User IDs as there are no email addresses associated with accounts. Always keep your User ID saved somewhere safe — a notes app or password manager works well.
No — nicknames are permanent once set and must be unique across all users. Choose carefully! If your nickname is reported by other users it may be replaced with "User" by our moderation team.
⚡ Posting Deals
Click + Post Deal in the navigation. Give your deal a descriptive title — include the price and store name for best results. Pick a category, set an expiry, and optionally add a link and location.
Links are reviewed by our team before going live to protect the community from spam and harmful content. Once approved your link will appear automatically — usually within a few hours. Until then your deal title is still visible to everyone.
Yes. Your own deals show Edit, Delete and Mark Expired buttons. You can edit the title, link and category. You can also mark a deal as expired at any time if the deal is no longer available.
Use 1 day for flash sales, 7 days for weekly specials, 30 days for monthly offers, and No Expiry for permanent deals like loyalty programs or ongoing discounts.
Yes. When posting a deal you can use your default profile location, pick a completely different location just for that deal, or set no location at all — useful for online-only deals.
🔍 Browsing & Filtering
First set your location in your Profile. Then on the homepage use the Distance filter — choose 5km, 10km, 20km or 50km to see only deals within that radius of your location.
Use the Country / Region filter in the sidebar. Select a country to see deals from that country plus all no-location deals (online deals). You can then narrow further by selecting a state or region. Your country preference is remembered between visits.
Selecting "No Location" in the Distance filter shows only deals that have no location attached — typically online deals, marketplace deals (Amazon, eBay etc.) or deals that apply nationally. Useful if you're specifically looking for online bargains.
Yes — visit the Expired Deals page linked in the footer. You can browse, search and filter expired deals by category and country. Links and locations are shown for reference but reactions are disabled.
📍 Locations
Location lets other users find deals near them using the distance filter on the main page. It also gives context — "Tomatoes $2.99/kg at Jack's Grocer" is more useful when you can see it's in your suburb.
No, location is completely optional on both your profile and individual deals. Online-only deals or deals you're not sure of the exact location can be posted with no location.
👍 Reactions
- 👍 Hot Deal — you've verified it's a genuine bargain
- 📦 Out of Stock — the deal is no longer available
- ❌ Didn't Work — the deal didn't work when you tried it
- 🚩 Flag — the deal looks suspicious or inappropriate
Yes — click a different reaction button to switch, or click the same one again to remove your reaction entirely.
Deals that receive 5 or more flags are automatically hidden from the listing and queued for moderator review. Our team will either reinstate the deal or remove it permanently.
↗ Sharing
Click the ↗ Share button on any deal card. On mobile this opens your device's native share sheet so you can send it via WhatsApp, Messages, email and more. On desktop it copies the link to your clipboard.
They land on LazySaver with a spotlight banner at the top showing your deal. They can react to the deal and browse all other active deals below it. If the deal has expired by the time they click the link they'll see an expired notice but can still view the deal details.
